OVERVIEW
Easier Heavy Lifting for Home-Brewers
Introducing Andrew, a US inventor who turned to SHIINE® with his home-brewing problem. He developed a clever carrying aid using a noose that could be tightened around heavy beer fermentation carboys, making picking them up and carrying them easier.
PATENTING & Product Development
The Patenting & Product Development Process
As part of The Inventor’s Journey™, Andrew had significant product development work done at SHIINE®, including concept design, 3D modeling/rendering, and prototyping.
The patenting process resulted in the granting of two high-quality UK patents, one focusing on the ability of tightening-and-untightening the noose, and another on maintaining the noose’s position. Andrew was then able to get effectively identical patent protection at the USPTO, securing American patent protection in his home patent office at significantly reduced cost by using The Inventor’s Journey™.

Andrew’s inventive Carrying Aid is an exemplification of simplicity meeting functionality. His patenting journey with SHIINE® resulted in securing robust protection in both the UK and the US. The process leveraged the early allowance of claims in the UK to save resources and successfully replicate protection in the US.
