OVERVIEW

Harnessing Nature's Bounty

James, a US inventor, came to SHIINE® with an inventive solution to use rainwater, the Hidden Rainwater Catcher. It’s cleverly designed to capture rainwater that falls from your roof into a watering can, turning a natural resource into a practical solution- especially useful for use in watering plants in your garden.

PATENTING & Product Development

The Patenting & Product Development Process

The journey through the patenting process is a critical part of The Inventor’s Journey™. Despite James’ invention being relatively simple in nature, the patenting has been quite complex. But recent discussions with the patent office examiner seem to have suggested allowability of his patent is now not far away. James has also recently filed a continuation-in-part non-provisional patent application at the USPTO via SHIINE®, adding new concepts to his inventive idea. This shows SHIINE®’s commitment to always helping the inventor get the best patent protection possible, and we hope we may even reach allowance of James’ patent after one more amendment at the patent office.

James also got product development work at SHIINE®. This includes photo-realistic 3D graphics of one of the possible designs for his invention, and is on-going as we speak.

CONCLUSION

Innovative Solution

James’ Rainwater Catcher is an example of an innovative, environmentally friendly solution. Our collaboration with James spanned various stages of The Inventor’s Journey™, including product development, patent application filing, and dealing with patent examiners’ queries and objections. As with all our inventors, we at SHIINE® are committed to helping James get the best results he can get, and he is looking forward to securing patent protection and working with SHIINE® to bring this eco-friendly solution to market.
